Empowering Leaders, Embedding Coaching, Transforming Culture

Hand shake

At PTM, coaching is not treated as a passing initiative—it is cultivated as a sustained strategic capability. Our coaching services are grounded in academic rigour, informed by practical leadership insight, and deepened by psychological understanding. We empower leaders, elevate team dynamics, and partner with organisations to embed coaching into the cultural fabric of their operations.

Foundations of Professional Coaching Excellence

Our coaching team comprises seasoned professionals with distinctive credentials and diverse perspectives.

  • Dr Peter J. Chum, founder of PTM, holds a Doctorate in Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Coaching and Mentoring Practice from Oxford Brookes University, a global leader in coaching education.

  • Dr Pansy Lam, an Oxford Brookes Accredited Coach, brings over 15 years of expertise in coaching and applied research.

  • Dr B.K. Choy & K.T. Lai, experienced Executive and Life Coaches, specialise in youth empowerment, personal development, and social leadership.

Informed by his additional training in Forensic Psychology and Psychodiagnostics, Dr Chum brings a depth of psychological insight to coaching engagements, enabling our interventions to explore not only visible performance issues but also underlying belief systems, relational patterns, and behavioural drivers.

All PTM coaches adhere to the ethical framework and standards of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC), ensuring our clients benefit from responsible, evidence-based, and internationally recognised coaching practices.

The PROPEL Coaching Model

Central to our coaching methodology is the PROPEL Coaching Model, a structured yet versatile framework developed by Dr Chum through years of research and executive practice. The model integrates six interconnected phases:
Purpose, Reflection, Options, Planning, Execution, and Learning.

Whether applied to one-on-one leadership development, group facilitation, or enterprise-wide interventions, PROPEL helps coachees navigate uncertainty, increase accountability, and move decisively toward growth. It is particularly effective in environments demanding strategic foresight, behavioural change, and resilient leadership.

From Coaching Practice to Coaching Culture

At PTM, we believe the true power of coaching emerges not only from individual transformation, but from organisational integration. A coaching culture is one in which coaching principles—curiosity, dialogue, feedback, development—are embedded into everyday conversations, performance reviews, and leadership practices.

Organisations with strong coaching cultures consistently experience:

  • Higher levels of psychological safety, engagement, and innovation

  • Enhanced leadership agility and cross-functional collaboration

  • Greater internal capacity for development, problem-solving, and retention

  • Less reliance on external consultants for ongoing capability building

Through our experience in Organisational Design and Development, we help clients embed coaching into their systems, talent strategies, and leadership architecture. This includes coaching capability development, mentorship pathways, and tools that sustain coaching practices across the organisation.
