Dr. B.K. Choy

Dr. Bing Kong Choy is a respected scholar-practitioner in the field of social work, with over four decades of experience spanning academic teaching, youth development, and group intervention strategies. He holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences and a Master of Social Work from the University of Hong Kong, and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, United States.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Choy has taught at several of Hong Kong’s leading institutions, including The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The University of Hong Kong, Education University of Hong Kong, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is currently a part-time lecturer in the Department of Social Work at CUHK and serves as an Honorary Associate Professor at HKU SPACE.

His areas of interest include youth violence and stress management, Adaptive Leadership, experiential learning through adventure-based training, career & life planning, debriefing and group facilitation. He is recognised for integrating theory with practice and for advancing the use of experiential frameworks in both youth development and adult professional training.
